At first listen to singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson, you can hear the roots of yesteryear's country music outlaws, from Waylon Jennings and Jerry Reed to Merle Haggard (and if this is your first listen, where have you been). After further listening one can hear he is a phenomenon with his own unique flavor of Americana. Simpson is trailblazing his own path to musical success.

A little over a month ago Samoan Reggae Artist and Compton Native J Boog announced the release date (Nov 18, 2016) of his long awaited album. Five years after releasing his sophomore album Backyard Boogie J Boog and his Bay Area/Hawaii based Record Label The Wash House Music Group, have finally released J Boog's much anticipated third album Wash House Ting.

The Portal is an immersive multimedia live show that takes the audience on a modern mythological journey. The show was created by Luke Comer, who in addition to the Portal is the producer of the music and transformational festival, “Arise.” After seeing huge success in Denver, the Portal will be opening at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York on 12/3.

The first episode of The Light Side, a lighting design podcast, is now available for download. Each month host Luke Stratton will sit down with various lighting designers, directors, and programmers from the live music industry to find out what makes them tick, what tools they use to get the job done, and what life is like on the road.
