The volume of crowd chatter grows, the temperature rises, and the buzz in the room grows palpable. House lights dim and the walk-on music starts flying from stacks of speakers flanking the stage. One by one, the band members of Umphrey’s McGee settle into their respective places on stage, tuning their instruments and taking that final sip of water or something stronger in preparation for the rock show ahead.
