Mountain Home Music Company recording artist Carley Arrowood was named the International Bluegrass Music Association's Momentum Vocalist of the Year at Wednesday's Momentum Awards Luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Since its inception in 1950 as Bob Wills’ Ranch House, the Longhorn Ballroom has been Texas’s premier destination for some of the best live music in the country. Over the last several years, the Longhorn Ballroom fell on hard times, eventually landing in bankruptcy and was headed for demolition.

Maddie Dalton, bassist of Mountain Home Music Company recording group Sister Sadie, was named one of the International Bluegrass Music Association's Momentum Instrumentalists of the Year at Wednesday's Momentum Awards Luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Próxima Parada means ‘next stop’ in Spanish and Portuguese. As college students in San Luis Obispo, California taking the bus to school, at every stop they’d hear, “Now approaching, próxima parada…” 100 times a day. The name is an invitation to the present moment, a reminder to not be too focused on the destination and to appreciate every stop along the way.
