The state of Colorado can already boast two major bluegrass festivals, those being the world renowned Telluride Bluegrass and its spectacular younger cousin Rockygrass.  Well, a third of such would be the Yarmony Grass Music Festival, a bluegrass-featured gathering nestled deep in the Rocky Mountains.

Now in its third year, this intimate festival will take place August 15 th-17th in Bond, Colorado.   Though the site of the original festival, The State Bridge, has since burned to the ground via arson, it will still happen near this small mountain town at Rancho del Rio right on the Colorado River.

This year is sure to be the festival's coming out party, as it has already announced an incredible lineup composed of some of the best musicians Colorado and beyond have to offer.

Notable acts include Railroad Earth (2 nights), Hot Buttered Rum, Peter Rowan, Head for the Hills, Cornmeal, and a slew of post-String Cheese projects such as Kyle Hollingsworth & Friends, The Emmitt Nershi Band, Honkeytonk Homeslice (electric), and EOTO & Friends.

As if three days of music and camping were not enough, attendees can also enjoy rafting, hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming.  Those who have been to this festival before have raved about the euphoric experience of hearing so much great music in such an intimate, positive, and breathtaking environment.

If the larger music festivals don't press your buttons, then this fantastic weekend of jamgrass is definitely more your style.   More acts will be announced soon, as will details about obtaining tickets and other general information.
