The Doors' iconic album, Morrison Hotel, was released exactly 50 years ago, today, on February 9th, 1970.

On the eve of the album's half-centennial anniversary, rock stars collided at West Hollywood's Sunset Marquis Hotel where music lovers and legends fêted the 50th anniversary of Morrison Hotel.

Vevo announces the release of Teddy Swim’s DSCVR performances of “Night Off” and “Picky.” Vevo DSCVR focuses on the development of emerging artists, through performance content and careful curation. Vevo has a long history of helping emerging artists break through to new and wider audiences. Past alumni of Vevo’s DSCVR series include Billie Eilish, Duckwrth and Kiana Ledé.

Iconic singer ART GARFUNKEL has announced a nine-show tour of Finland, Denmark, Germany and Holland, running November 24 through December 7. He also continues to add dates to his in-progress U.S. performances, which kicked off last month in southern California and continued this weekend (full itinerary below).

The quintet opened their show up with a fan favorite and title track from their most recent album, All for Money, which lead right into a high energy version of Grow Bananas. Next up was an extended version of a Newgrass Revival’s “Can’t Stop Now”, during which each member really began to tune into both the crowd and each other. As they took turns passing the jam back and forth between each musician, the audience began moving and grooving to their unique style of psychedelic jam-grass.

The 43rd Ann Arbor Folk Festival took place at Hill Auditorium last Friday and Saturday night. The two-day event was a benefit for legendary local music venue The Ark and featured national and local artists from Iron & Wine + Calexico to Molly Tuttle, Cold Tone Harvest, Bettye Lavette, and Nathaniel Rateliff. Colorado electronic jam band hybrid trio SunSquabi delivers their seventh album, their third live one, today, Friday, February 7th. SunSquabi Live 2019 provides a hand-selected array of recordings from the band’s live performances in 2019, ranging from large festival gigs to club-venue recordings.
