BIG GIGANTIC has set their sights even bigger this year for their massive hometown show dubbed “ROWDYTOWN.” Taking over the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, the third annual event is expanding to two days in 2014: Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. Pre-sale tickets for “Rowdytown III” will go on sale starting tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2 with the general on-sale available Friday, April 4.Debuting in 2012 to a sold-out crowd of more than 9,450 fans and voted the #1 EDM show of that year by the Westword, ROWDYTOWN I marked the first time an artist ever used projection mapping visuals on the venue’s famous rocks. The second installment, which sold out weeks in advance, used even bigger lighting rigs and twice the projection mapping with Stan Shkrobor from EDMTUNES.COM calling the show’s visuals “the you-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it projection mapping!” (10/1/13). Describing ROWDYTOWN II, Corey Blecha from COLORADO MUSIC BUZZ claimed “from the get-go, it was an audio and visual spectacle” (October) and LISTEN UP DENVER’s Lindsay Lynch declared the show “one of the best dance parties of the summer” (10/7/13). With the inaugural year featuring support from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Dillon Francis, GRiZ and Raw Russ and round two Adventure Club, Carnage and Manic Focus, who will BIG G bring out this year? Stay tuned for lineup announcements and more in the coming weeks!Watch a video recap from “Rowdytown II” here: http://vimeo.com/76547872Prior to turning the state of Colorado rowdy, BIG GIGANTIC will get the party started at various festivals this spring and summer as they continue to tour in support of their new album, THE NIGHT IS YOUNG. Kicking off with their debut at Coachella (4/13 and 4/20), the Boulder, CO-based duo of saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken will be returning to Georgia’s CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival, followed by sets at the Beale Street Festival in Memphis, Mysteryland in Bethel Woods, NY, Spring Awakening in Chicago, the Firefly Festival in Delaware and The Hudson Project in Saugerties, NY among others with more festival dates still to be announced. See below for full list of tour dates.THE NIGHT IS YOUNG—released February 11 for free via their website www.biggigantic.net--is an eclectic mix of tracks that span genres from electronic and dance to hip hop and electro soul.
