A Musical Tribute to Resilience: Gogol Bordello and Bernard Sumner’s 'Solidarity' for Ukraine

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Gogol Bordello, led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, and Bernard Sumner from the legendary bands Joy Division and New Order, have come together to release their cover of “Solidarity” by Angelic Upstarts. This release is available on Eugene Hütz’s label, Casa Gogol Records.

Their version of “Solidarity” pays homage to the punk and anti-Soviet movement, echoing a message of support and unity. The proceeds from this song will directly benefit injured Ukrainian soldiers through the charity Kind Deeds, an organization committed to providing aid and support. The collaboration stands as a beacon of hope and solidarity with oppressed groups worldwide.

In conjunction with this release, Eugene Hütz proudly announces the re-launch of Casa Gogol Records. The label, deeply embedded in the New York music scene, aims to showcase a fusion of new sounds from New York and collaborations with punk, rock, and hardcore legends.
