Nashville’s Own Ian Abel Band Set to Release Summer Anthem “California Nights”

The Ian Abel Band, a dynamic rock group based out of Nashville, Tennessee, and led by the internationally acclaimed guitarist Ian Abel, is thrilled to announce the release of their new single "California Nights." Scheduled for release on May 17, 2024, the track is anticipated to become the anthem of the summer, capturing the essence of adventure and excitement synonymous with the City of Angels.

Ian Abel, known for his award-winning guitar skills, fronts a talented ensemble of seasoned studio and touring musicians. The band has already left a significant mark on the music scene with their song “Shoes,” which was featured in All Elite Wrestling’s promotional video for the historic Cody & Dustin Rhodes fight at Double or Nothing. The song's impact was further recognized with a nomination for best song/score in a trailer by the Hollywood Music In Media Awards.

With multiple features on Apple Music and tours playing lead guitar for Grand Ole Opry member T. Graham Brown, Ian Abel has also headlined at iconic Los Angeles venues like the Troubadour, Whisky A Go Go, and Viper Room. Described by the popular regional radio station 91.9 WFPK as “creating an expansive, stadium-ready rock sound,” Ian’s craftsmanship continues to resonate with fans across the globe.

"California Nights" promises to deliver this signature sound with a fresh twist. The track is a collaboration with illustrious artists, including songwriter Kenny Schwartz of Los Stellarians, and features the engineering and mixing prowess of Jon Graber, known for his work with bands like NOFX and All American Rejects. Reade Wolcott provided additional engineering support, while the mastering was handled by multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer Alan Douches from West West Side Music, renowned for his work with artists like Sufjan Stevens and Fleetwood Mac. Adding to the vibrant texture of the song are the backing vocals by Jackie Miclau of Mt. Joy.
