The Nth Power Begin "Fall In Love" Tour

In a world full of darkness and chaos, The Nth Power is on a mission to share the light -- announcing their "Fall In Love" 2014 North American tour. The tour's western leg is highlighted by a six-date West Coast concert series with British funk fusionists, The New Mastersounds, which kicks off Sept. 23 in Seattle, WA, before headlining two nights in Portland, OR Sept. 24 and 25, two nights in San Francisco, CA Sept. 26 and 27, and ending in Santa Cruz, CA Sept. 28.

The Nth Power brings together five seasoned talents from the funk, soul, rock, reggae and world-beat universes: guitarist and vocalist Nick Cassarino (Big Daddy Kane, Jennifer Hartswick Band), keyboardist and vocalist Nigel Hall (Lettuce, John Scofield, Pretty Lights, Warren Haynes), drummer and vocalist Nikki Glaspie (Beyonce, Dumpstaphunk), bassist Nate Edgar (John Brown's Body, Rubblebucket) and 110th generation West African percussionist, Weedie Braimah (Toubab Krewe).

Together, the fluid power and raw synergy of their vibe makes audiences want to dance, groove, make love or just stand there with goosebumps. But at the core of that vibe is a deviously simple concept -- the healing power of love.

“Our music is more than just music,” Glaspie said recently. “We’re on a mission to try to help people, and heal the world, and make people feel better about themselves, and just let them know that they are loved. There’s so much hate in the world, we feel that we can use this platform to make the world a better place.”

"Just know that when you hear this music, you're going to feel something -- you're going to connect with something higher than yourself," said West African percussionist Weedie Braimah. "With what's going on all over the world and on the news right now, people need to inspired by love now more than ever, and music is the universal language."

The Nth Power is currently recording their debut full length album, Abundance, anticipated for a March 2015 release date. The group put out an independent EP, Basic Minimum Skills Test, in April 2013 -- a year after they first joined forces in New Orleans for a late night Jazzfest performance on Patton Avenue. After a handful of brief tours and festival appearances since, The Nth Power comes full circle in 2014, sharing their powerful performances with a slew of new cities and venues across the country and overseas.
