POP Montreal returns this fall. The legends are coming back, along with the weirdos, the influencers, the icons and the groundbreakers. Here is a taste:

French composer and synth funk genius Wally Badarou, who collaborated with everyone from Grace Jones to Jimmy Cliff and the Talking Heads; the enchanting singer-songwriter Angel Olsen; the truly iconic filmmaker and author John Waters; as well as Miami Bass gods 69 Boyz, who will be sharing a bill with next level Jersey club kween, Uniiqu3.

POP will also feature the enigmatic psychedelic pop-smith Michael Angelo; the groundbreaking experimental punk band Psychic TV, led by Genesis P-Orridge, who will also give a one-off talk during the POP Symposium; Domino Recording artists The Kills, and maybe our new favourite new pop band, Diet Cig.

Other highlights include the Canadian Premiere of Colin Stetson's Sorrow, a reimagining of Gorecki's Symphony No. 3 with an 11-piece orchestra and the multi-talented Seth Bogart, who will grace us with new music and showcase his sharp artistic mind and recent ceramic sculptures in an exclusive, multimedia, site-specific installation as part of this year's Art POP.  It's the best party and the best time. It's the best festival.
