Railroad Earth Release New Live EP

Railroad Earth recently revisited their acclaimed 2014 album, Last of the Outlaws, pulling together a filmed live performance augmented by a string quartet on some of their favorite cuts from the record. The Castle Inn Sessions, as it was to be called, was filmed in an idyllic turn of the century hotel in Delaware Water Gap, PA, and is now a brand new 4-song EP, premiered today with RELIX (see link in header) and is now available for release.

Featured tracks include: “All That’s Dead May Live Again/Grandfather Mountain”; “Turba Mirum”; “Last Of The Outlaws”; and “Take A Bow.” What’s more, starting today, Qello Concerts is offering the Castle Inn Sessions full video performance. Fans can visit qello.com/vip/castleinn for a beautiful RRE live music experience straight from the ballroom. Viewing is available on Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire and all connected devices.

Says the band of the setting, “The Castle Inn was built in 1906. It had a coal fired, electric generator that lit 1600 lights! It also supplied power for the entire town of Delaware Water Gap. Enrico Caruso sang there. John Phillip Sousa performed there. Boxer Gene Tunney trained for his fight against Jack Dempsey there. Big band leader Fred Waring bought it in the 1950's and based his publishing empire there.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Railroad Earth press release if we didn’t have a solid new slew of tour dates to disclose. In addition to the already announced New Year’s triple header (12/29-31) at Revolution Hall in Portland, OR, the last date of which features 2 sets and is already SOLD OUT, there are 35 upcoming RRE shows slated for 2017 that take the band to all corners and coasts straight up through April 1st.
