On the heels of an explosive Lollapalooza set, chart-topping rock band The Revivalists have dropped a brand-new music video for their latest radio single “Good Old Days,” announced their European headline tour, and are currently gracing the cover of Relix’s July/August Issue.

The “Good Old Days” video, directed by Johnny Chew, features never-before-seen VHS-style home video footage of band members’ respective childhoods, as well as clips from the early days of the band, illustrating the song’s message about appreciating the good moments in life and recognizing when they are happening. “Good Old Days,” from the band’s recently released studio album Pour It Out Into The Night (Concord Records), showcases the songwriting chemistry between vocalist David Shaw and guitarist Zack Feinberg and builds towards a breezy refrain punctuated by rapturous horns, a shuffling rhythm, and a soulful group harmony. The song has quickly become a fan favorite on the band’s summer tour and Rolling Stone anticipated the track as “a cathartic set highpoint” in The Revivalists’ live show.

"The message is, 'I have to appreciate this. It might not last forever'," shares Zack. "This song actually started in 2018. I was imbibing as one does on Mardi Gras. We were hanging with friends all day and probably walked the length of the city two times over. We went back to David's house to unwind and ended up putting the basis for the tracks down on a demo. That melody stuck in my head when I went to bed. I was thinking about what an amazing day it was, and even though there's always uncertainty about what the future has to bring, we just have to recognize and appreciate that these are the good old days. Now that I am a dad to twin babies, there are so many moments that are beautiful yet fleeting, and you can’t forget that. So it is a useful exercise in gratitude.”

The Revivalists will make their return to Europe this fall, bringing their soulful alt-rock anthems and high-energy dose of rock ‘n’ roll to their joyous and transcendent live shows, powered by the band’s renowned musicianship and the distinctly unique voice of front man David Shaw.
