Spafford Delivers Monster Jams at Sold Out The Public House

Amidst the wintry chill of Crested Butte, Colorado, the energy of Spafford warmed the sold out crowd at The Public House, marking the commencement of their four-night residency with a blaze.

The evening unfolded with a cascade of mesmerizing jams, highlighted by an epic second set featuring an uninterrupted 58-minute journey through "Diesel Driver," Shelter in Place," and "Windmill."

Spafford ignited the stage with a soulful rendition of John Hiatt's "Memphis in the Meantime," seamlessly transitioning into "Ice Cream," a tribute to jazz maestro Steve Kimock. The first set culminated with the beloved fan favorite, "Todd's Tots," leaving the audience craving more.

The band's sonic odyssey continued into the second set, kicking off with "Diesel Driver" before slowing the pace with the poetic "Shelter in Place" and the hypnotic allure of "Windmill." A rare rendition of "Red's Jam," gracing the stage for only the second time in 2024, led the audience into the climactic finale of "Mind's Unchained."

Spafford retreated momentarily from the stage before returning to encore with the timeless jazz gem "Cantaloupe Island" by Herbie Hancock, leaving the audience awash in euphoria and anticipation for the nights ahead.
