TRAVELIN’ MCCOURYS WITH BILL NERSHI, NEW ORLEANS SUSPECTS and HOT BUTTERED RUM will headline the 10th ANNUAL RHYTHMS ON THE RIO, an intimate music festival in South Fork, Colorado, from Friday, August 7th through Sunday, August 9th.  The event is hosted by the South Fork Music Association, a non-profit entity; it raises money for organization’s Children’s Music Program.

Travelin’ McCourys are known as the sons and the backing band of legendary bluegrass singer/guitarist Del McCoury.  For this festival only, the band will include Bill Nershi, co-leader of String Cheese Incident.

New Orleans Suspects are current and former members of The Neville Bros., The Radiators, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Outformation as well as last band leader for the James Brown Band.  Music critic Brett Milano called them “the last living link to traditional New Orleans R&B, blues and funk.”

Hot Buttered Rum String Band is a crowd favorite throughout the Rockies and the Front Range. They will be returning to their roots and performing traditional bluegrass and folk styles on acoustic instruments, which will be a treat for long-time fans of the band.

Other featured acts include: Euforquestra, Dead Winter Carpenters, Grant Farm, Coral Creek, Big Medicine Gang, Shawn Nelson, That Damn Sasquatch and Big River Band.  Regional favorites The Scrugglers will host late night jam sessions on Friday and Saturday.  The South Fork Music Association will also present the winner of their 2015 Singer/Songwriter competition as well as a children’s music recital featuring students from their educational program.

The members of SFMA pride themselves on presenting a family friendly musical experience with limited tickets and ample facilities.  In addition to the music, on-site activities and amenities include: camping, river tubing, yoga, games and top-quality food and beverages.

The festival site is at 28091 U.S. Highway 160, South Fork, CO.  Private land for the event is provided by Kurt and Lea Carlton.  Advance tickets for the three days are $50.00 without camping and $60.00 with camping.  Tickets at the gate will be $65.00 and $75.00 for the three day pass.  Day passes will be available at the gate only and are $20.00 for Friday, $40.00 for Saturday and $15.00 for Sunday.
