Check in today, Thursday, September 10th, to the Wall Street Journal Speakeasy for the exclusive video premiere of “New York City“ performed by G. Love and Special Sauce and Lucinda Williams. The video features behind-the-scenes studio footage of G. Love and Lucinda coming together to collaborate on the Lead Belly blues classic. "New York City" will appear on G. Love and Special Sauce’s forthcoming full-length album release Love Saves The Day and will be available for pre-order from Pledge Music, iTunes and Amazon starting tomorrow, Friday, September 10th. The band is currently on the road and will be announcing winter 2016 tour dates soon. Current tour dates can be found below.

“The band and I have been long-time fans of Lucinda’s and had been looking for an opportunity to work with her,” G. Love tells the Wall Street Journal. Because Williams had recently contributed to a Lead Belly tribute, “we thought it would be a good time to reach out and see if she would join us.”

Love Saves The Day will be released from Brushfire Records on October 30th. The album features guest artists Lucinda Williams, Citizen CopeOzomatliDavid Hildago of Los Lobos, and more. Engineered and produced by Robert Carranza (Jack Johnson, Beastie Boys, Mars Volta), Love Saves The Day celebrates the down and dirty, raucously ragged, and vibrantly unruly spirit of the band that pioneered ‘hip-hop blues.’ Love Saves The Day will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, Friday, September 11th on iTunes, Amazon, G. Love and Special Sauce's website philadelphonic.com, and Pledge Music.
