The California Roots Music & Arts Festival has moved their dates for this year’s event to October 9-11, 2020 at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center. The lineup will remain 99% intact and will feature the biggest names in reggae, hip hop, and roots music.

As you know, all venues, restaurants and bars in Colorado are now closed through May 11 to help contain the spread of Covid-19. Our awesome & dedicated staff are suddenly out of work & will need money for rent, food, utilities, healthcare, etc.  Any amount you can give will be divided among all of our staff:  door staff, production, bartenders, bar backs and box office.

As of late, the town of Fort Collins has played host to a plethora of tour openers and tour closers. Tuesday night saw the tour finale for Sam Bush and his never-ending musical travels and without skipping a beat, Wednesday brought the PHAB 4 to Washington’s to begin their three-night Colorado run of collaboration.

Announced today, Stream for a Cause, presented by High Plains Bank and the Left Hand Brewing Foundation (LHBF), is a live streaming concert series premiering on Friday, March 20 at 7:00PM MST on the Left Hand Brewing Company Facebook page to raise funds for the newly created Hospitality Fund at the LHBF, a 501c3 nonprofit.

GW: Describe the recording process for Call the Captain for our readers. What was the vibe like in the studio? And what drew you to Bill Reynolds as producer?

At age 23 I was negotiating my first, real job, trying to balance social commitments, a tad self-absorbed, overly anxious and sadly eating apples and peanut butter with a side of cheese and crackers for dinner. (Well, truth be told, my dinner is still this pathetic array, but I moved to expensive gluten free alternatives and predominately goat as a better dairy option.) I was just trying to stay afloat, not making societal contributions.
