Today, Jeff Tweedy announces a summer North American tour, beginning with a four night residency at New York’s Brooklyn Made, followed by stops in Washington, DC, St. Louis, Boulder and more. Additionally, Wilco are currently on the road in support of Cruel Country, released last year via dBpm Records. The Punk in the Park music and brew festival returned to the Ventura County Fairgrounds on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, March 25th. After a cold, wet winter, it was a breath of fresh air to see a sunny cloudless sky for the event. About 5000 multi-generational punk music aficionados gathered for the 10-hour concert, many coming early to take advantage of free beer samples from over 80 microbreweries.

Suwannee Hulaween has unveiled its historic, genre-crossing lineup to celebrate the festival’s tenth anniversary celebration edition, returning home to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida from Thursday, October 26 - Sunday, October 29, 2023.

The Soundship Spacesystem Tour will include 27 total dates in 9 cities plus 2 festival appearances in the Summer and Fall of 2023. The tour features stops from coast to coast, including multi-night runs in Denver, Dillon, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, Pelham, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Festival appearances include Suwannee Hulaween (Live Oak, FL) and Cascade Equinox Festival (Redmond, OR).

Acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke was born in Athens, Georgia, but left town after a year and a half. Raised in 12 different states, he absorbed a variety of musical influences as a child, flirting with both violin and trombone, before abandoning Stravinsky for the guitar at age 11.

After adding a love for the country-blues of Mississippi John Hurt to the music of John Phillip Sousa and Preston Epps, Kottke joined the Navy underage, to be underwater, and eventually lost some hearing shooting at lightbulbs in the Atlantic while serving on the USS Halfbeak, a diesel submarine.

The Trey Anastasio Trio with Dezron Douglas and Jon Fishman will play Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO on June 9, 10 and 11.

The journey of Los Lobos began in 1973, 50 years ago this year, when David Hidalgo (vocals, guitar, and pretty much anything with strings), Louie Perez (drums, vocals, guitar), Cesar Rosas (vocals, guitar), and Conrad Lozano (bass, vocals, guitarrón) earned their stripes playing revved-up versions of Mexican folk music in restaurants and at parties. The band evolved in the 1980s as it tapped into L.A.’s burgeoning punk and college rock scenes. They were soon sharing bills with bands like the Circle Jerks, Public Image Ltd.

Melodies On Hiatus, the new solo album from acclaimed vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Albert Hammond Jr of the Grammy-winning group The Strokes, is slated for release on June 23 via Red Bull Records—pre-order it here.
