Craft Recordings is proud to reissue The Country Blues of John Lee Hooker, a showcase of traditional (folk/country) sound and one-chord blues all with John Lee Hooker’s smooth baritone vocals. Unaccompanied and playing acoustic instead of his usual amplified guitar, Hooker recorded a wonderfully varied set of deep Delta blues, moans, boogies, one field holler, and even a bit of hokum. Due out August 2nd, The Country Blues of John Lee Hooker was cut from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio.

Singer/songwriter Christina Holmes has officially announced that her third studio album, The Beautiful Struggle, will be released on May 31st.

Terrapin Flyer is celebrating 20 years of touring with some of the most iconic members of the Grateful Dead family with a Summer Tour with Melvin Seals from the Jerry Garcia Band June 12 - 28th.  Terrapin Flyer has been performing with Melvin for 15 years including touring under the monikers of both JGB and Melvin Seals and Friends.   The 2019 Terrapin Flyer tour will hit the Midwest and Eastern United States including 2 festival stops.

After selling out all four nights of performances at three independent venues last year, Philly Music Fest—the city's only music festival to feature exclusively local bands—will return for its third year September 25-28, 2019, featuring headliners Man Man, Vacationer, Speedy Ortiz, and Ceramic Animal.
 

Rock titans Gov't Mule will be returning to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 18th. A new-found summer tradition following last year's incredible super-sized show, the band will bring their jam-packed set to the legendary Red Rocks for another unforgettable performance. Ryan Bingham will support.

Steve Kimock, guitar wizard and the man Jorma Kaukonen labeled one of the best guitarists alive, first came to notice with Zero, the legendary Marin County jam band from the ‘80s.  Then came the post-Grateful Dead Furthur tours in the ‘90s, and he currently leads Voodoo Dead among other combinations.  But for a good long while—25 years!—Steve Kimock & Friends has been his primary outlet.  It’s a hell of a band, and in September they’re going to take a short jaunt around the Northeast to celebrate. 

Tickets for the inaugural Beach Road Weekend on Martha’s Vineyard August 9-11, go on-sale Friday, May 31th at 10:00 AM. The three-day music and media festival at Veterans Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven will feature performances by Phil Lesh and Friends, Grace Potter, Dispatch, John Fogerty and much more. The festival kicks off with a special screening of Jaws, with accompaniment by the Cape Symphony.
