Mott The Hoople

Mick Ralphs—the understated, precision-minded guitarist whose instantly recognizable licks helped define two of rock’s most enduring bands—died this week at the age of 81. His partner, Susie Chavasse, confirmed his passing. Ralphs had lived quietly in recent years, convalescing from the severe stroke he suffered shortly after his final appearance with Bad Company at London’s O₂ Arena in October 2016.

Legendary Rock act Mott the Hoople celebrate the 50th anniversary of their landmark album “All The Young Dudes” with a limited edition deluxe box set, featuring newly remastered audio, due to be released on Madfish on December 8th.  The remastered album will also be made available as a limited edition double orange vinyl LP.

The career of the British rock great and Mott the Hoople icon Ian Hunter is celebrated with this 30-disc Anthology box set, Stranded in Reality, containing a swathe of rare and previously unreleased recordings and film. Compiled and curated by Ian and recognised Hunter-Mott biographer Campbell Devine, the project is the ultimate celebration of the artist’s hugely influential and sparkling solo work.
