The Shins

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Craft Recordings is set to release the first-ever vinyl pressing of Holidays Rule, a deliciously diverse collection of seasonal music featuring glittering contributions from across the musical spectrum. Due out September 30th and available to pre-order beginning today (8/24) as a 2-LP set pressed on translucent red vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket (seen above).

The Shins are bringing their classic 2001 debut album Oh, Inverted World to life in its entirety with a 21st Birthday Tour this summer. Beginning on July 12th in San Francisco, the band will embark on a two month tour of North America performing the landmark album from start to finish — plus a nightly rotation of additional fan favorites and deep cuts. The “low-key masterpiece” (The New York Times) will celebrate 21 years since its arrival on June 19, 2001.

This year seems to have introduced more new music festivals than ever. In a sea of established fests and emerging talent, it’s hard to stand out from the crowd. BottleRock Napa, however, seems to have it all figured out. (Wine Enthusiast Magazine has already named it one of the top five music and wine festivals in the nation!)
