June 2021

On May 28, the long-awaited and highly anticipated release of T.A. Clayton & The Soulminers’ most recent EP, Young Again, was shared with the world.

The five-track project is the first music we’ve heard from the group since 2019 when they released their debut album Shortcomings.

The veteran rock band WAR, which formed back in 1969, brought a live show to an appreciative audience in Ventura, California. The May 29th show was part of the Concerts In Your Car series at the Ventura fairgrounds. War is a musical crossover band that fuses rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, psychedelia, and reggae.

Recorded and released in the wake of The Beatles’ April 1970 dissolution, George Harrison’s landmark solo album, All Things Must Pass, is a fully realized statement by a bold and audacious artist.

Classic rockers/blues rock trailblazers Ten Years After will soon be performing for fans throughout the world once more, via a livestream event. Entitled “Blue Crossroads,” the event includes three performances by different artists, Ten Years After on June 17th, Marcus Bonfanti Electric Band on July 1st, and Jawbone on July 15th.

Americana quartet Lake & Lyndale have been paving a path of their own. The group (singer Channing Marie, guitarist Jonathan Krentz, bassist Eric Clifford, and drummer Tyler Kloewer) moved to Nashville a few years back from MN, where their name comes from. The band, noted for live shows and acclaimed singles, “There’s a Weight” and “Still Here” found themselves limited like everyone in the pandemic; kept both offstage and out of their usual studio.

Billy Prine is a natural-born storyteller just like his late, great brother John Prine was a natural-born songwriter. John was a great communicator of the human experience whittled down to the best words. His big, little brother, owner of a rich, booming voice yet full of subtleness, is one of the finest orators you’ll ever hear – also choosing just the right turn of phrase.
