While many of us have struggled to salvage a sense of purpose from a year’s worth of isolation, veteran New York rocker Willie Nile has tapped into his own lockdown experience as a source of inspiration for the set of haunting new songs that comprise his emotion-charged new release, The Day the Earth Stood Still, due out August 13, 2021.

Blues Traveler today announced the release of their new studio album Traveler’s Blues on Round Hill Records, a collection of re-imagined and re-charged classics from The American Blues Songbook, set for release on July 30, 2021. In addition, two singles “Funky Bitch” and “Ball & Chain” (feat. Christone “Kingfish” Ingram) will be released today, June 7th.

Bruce Springsteen will return to Broadway this summer for a limited run of "Springsteen on Broadway" performances at Jujamcyn's St. James Theatre (246 W 44th Street). Shows begin Saturday June 26, with additional performances taking place through September 4.

When King Crimson returns to action this July, it will be the seventh year that the band has toured since returning to performing live in 2014, a run only interrupted by the lockdown in 2020. In that time, the audience has been reinvented, as much as the band itself, something Robert Fripp noted after the band’s performance in Pompeii, Italy’s famous amphitheater:
