Acclaimed fine art photographer, video director and visual artist Anna Gabriel will release EYE-D on October 6 on ACC Art Books. The book is a series of extreme close-up photographs that focus the man-made lens on the human one to showcase the fact that connections, emotions, sublanguage, healing – all flow between us via the eyes. Some famous eyes featured in the book include: Mick Fleetwood, Johnny Depp, Eddie Vedder, David Byrne, Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Susan Sarandon, Kevin Bacon, Michael Stipe, Bon Iver, Nile Rodgers, Debbie Harry and many, many more.

“I wanted to offer fans a different way to view their favorite artists, people who have made an impact not only on my life, but millions around the world,” said Anna. “I hope viewers find something new and unexpected each time they look into these eyes. To celebrate the release, a visual art experience at the Morrison Hotel Gallery will showcase EYE-D. The images will be on display on release day, October 6, at the Morrison Hotel Gallery Los Angeles (Sunset Marquis – 1200 Alta Loma Road in West Hollywood) and on October 20 at the Morrison Hotel Gallery New York City (116 Prince Street). The event in Los Angeles will be preceded by a book signing from 4-6pm and a special musical performance with more details to be announced soon.
