Next month, presenting partners Wicked Weed Brewing and Worthwhile Sounds will debut the inaugural AVLFest – a citywide celebration of music and community spanning over 20 stages throughout Asheville. Over TWO HUNDRED ACTS are slated to fill area concert halls, bars, and outdoor stages, including the storied Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog, Nikki Lane, Sarah Shook & The Disarmers, local and regional heavyweights Tyler Ramsey, Toubab Krewe, Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters, and Asheville’s famed ragtime revivalist spectacle The Blue Rags. Today, AVLFest is proud to share its third and final wave of artists, including Asheville-based indie rock sensation Indigo De Souza, whose explosive live shows have enchanted fans since her hometown debut in 2016, virtuosic guitarist and drummer Cedric Burnside – grandson to the late Hill Country Blues guitarist R.L. Burnside – Congolese inspired supergroup Coconut Cake, sixteen year old songwriting prodigy Jake Kohn, award-winning folk artist Willi Carlisle, surf-punk noisemakers Daikaiju, and dozens more. View all lineup additions above.

AVLFest will bring non-stop entertainment to area residents and visitors alike from August 3-6. Performance showcases are set to take place throughout the weekend, with wristbands granting passholders priority entry to all AVLFest official participating venues, as well discounts at numerous local retailers and restaurants, plus presale access and discounts to two separately ticket AVLFest standalone events – North Carolina-bred Americana band Watchhouse, performing at The Outpost on August 3rd, and the always-crowd-pleasing rock outfit Kurt Vile & The Violators at Highland Brewing on August 4th. Tickets to the aforementioned bonus events are available to AVLFest passholders now while supplies last, with public on-sale beginning next week. Visit avlfest.com/artists to learn more.

Committed to supporting local community causes, AVLFest has partnered with several area nonprofits including RiverLink, Black Wall Street, Homeward Bound, and Campaign for Southern Equality. In addition to raising awareness for their respective missions, a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to benefitting these nonprofits.

There is no better time to support local venues, artists, and nonprofits. AVLFest offers patrons the chance to experience Asheville’s music, art and culinary attractions while further crystallizing Asheville as a premier travel destination nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

$100 GA and $250 VIP Weekend passes are available now. Local patrons who would like to support AVLFest while sparing online ticketing fees can now purchase AVLFest passes in person at The Orange Peel, Harvest Records, Records in the RAD, and The Grey Eagle.
