What if you could travel back to the summer of 1969 to enjoy the music and counterculture-era with better weather than Woodstock and a safer environment than Altamont? This summer, you can, with the debut of the two-day Cover Rock Festival June 25th and 26th at The Avon Performance Pavilion at Lake Nottingham (1 Lake Street Avon, CO 81620).

Set at the breathtaking base of Beaver Creek, the first annual festival offers music fans of all ages a chance to relive performances from music greats like The Who, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin and more. Nearly a dozen of the best tribute bands will pay homage to classic rock in this one-of-a-kind concert line-up.

Tickets are available on the festival website and range from $55 single-day passes to $189 for the full 21+ VIP experience, which includes free beer, happy hours, backstage access and exclusive viewing areas and merchandise.  For those looking for a free entry, the festival is currently accepting Street Team submissions through [email protected].

In addition to the music festival, Cover Rock will also be hosting a free Poster Art Exhibit featuring artists from around North America. The exhibition will run throughout the duration of the festival and is free to attendees.  Artists interested in exhibiting should apply online now. The first 30 submissions received are free.

While some may enjoy roughing it nearby, other festival goers may appreciate the generous hotel discounts offered by Comfort Inn Beaver Creek and Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek located just blocks from Cover Rock
