Based out of Olney, TX, Love & The Zealous--Richard Love (vocals), Marcus Leemann (guitar), Josh Morrison (bass) and Corbin Bailey (drums)--combine a dynamic brew of vintage soul and rhythm and blues with solid elements of classic rock and pop. The band came together in 2012 and their dedication to musicianship and songwriting produced the powerful combination of rock and blues you hear on the band’s self-titled 2013 demo featuring original tracks “Mamma Don’t Cry,” “Horses,” and “Devil is a Woman.” The un-matched raspy/soulful voice of Richard Love completes the ambiance of the group and leaves the band’s sound coursing through your veins after experiencing it. Love & The Zealous just wrapped up their 10-date U.S. tour, including a showcase at JAM IN THE VAN San Francisco Artist House during Outside Lands, and kick off their south-east tour on September 26 in Nashville, and are currently working on their next project (release date TBA).
