The all-ages evening will feature special guests Tunnel Vision and promises a shoreline’s worth of laid-back grooves, punk-rock energy, and island-infused reggae rhythms.

Formed on Hawai‘i’s Big Island in the late 1990s, Pepper—vocalist/guitarist Kaleo Wassman, vocalist/bassist Bret Bollinger, and drummer Yesod Williams—has spent nearly 25 years bending genre lines and uniting audiences under a banner of sun-kissed positivity. The trio’s relentless touring, seven studio albums, and Billboard-topping 2019 release Local Motion have cemented their place among modern reggae’s most dynamic ambassadors. Through their imprint LAW Records, the band has also championed dozens of kindred artists, re-issuing classics by Steel Pulse and Jimmy Cliff while nurturing emerging talent across the global reggae-rock scene.
Pepper’s newest release, the six-song EP Makai—a Hawaiian term meaning “toward the ocean”—dives deeper into the group’s island roots. Produced and co-written with friends such as Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Kevin Bivona (The Interrupters), Johnny Cosmic (Stick Figure), and members of Iration, Makai brims with coastal melodies, dub undertones, and collaborative spirit. Boulder fans can expect fresh cuts like “Get Me Ready,” “Stay High,” and “Tides” alongside long-time crowd favorites when the band takes the Boulder Theater stage.
California surf-rock outfit Tunnel Vision opens the evening, setting the tone with their own blend of reggae, ska, and punk. Together, the two acts promise an unforgettable night that channels beachfront vibes straight into the heart of the Rockies.
