Today our fast-growing list of new partners gets even longer (or should we say higher?) with the addition of top Colorado promoter Z2 Entertainment. Z2 joins seven other Ticketfly venues in the region including The Marquis, The Summit Music Hall, and Denver Botanic Gardens, as well as Riot Fest. The Denver metro area is now officially a Ticketfly town, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Z2 Entertainment is one of the largest independent promoters in the Denver area; veteran promoter Don Strasburg is one of several partners. The company operates two of the state’s most-respected venues, The Fox Theatre and The Boulder Theater, both located in Boulder (they’re also the two biggest venues in the city).

The Fox was named the fourth best music venue in the country by Rolling Stone in 2013. “The former movie house mixes modern elegance with the everybody’s-welcome warmth you’d expect from an old hippie town,” the magazine noted. The venue will celebrate its 25th anniversary in March. Meanwhile, the Boulder Theater has become a go-to stop for critically-acclaimed bands, comedy acts, film festivals, and more. This fall, the Boulder will host the likes of ‘80s icon Morrissey, eclectic prog-rock outfit Coheed and Cambria, and country singer Sturgill Simpson, among others.

The venues’ reputations are a testament to Z2’s diligence.

“We have a pretty big role in bringing live entertainment to our Boulder community and we take that seriously,” says Cheryl Liguori, CEO of Z2 Entertainment. “Fan and artist experience and diversity of programming are daily conversations with our team.”

It’s what’s made Z2 Entertainment a dominant force in the Denver metro area. But if you ask Liguori, the company owes its success to one simple ingredient.

“I believe success lies in caring: about the experience patrons have as they purchase tickets and when they come through our front doors, about artists and their experience when they come to our venues, and also about our staff because they play a huge role in those experiences,” she says.

When it came time to find a live event technology provider, Liguori says, “We found the same commitment in the Ticketfly team. The tools Ticketfly provides are at the forefront of functionality for ticketing and marketing live events, for both fans and promoters. We always look for more effective and efficient ways to connect with our fans and we found that opportunity in Ticketfly.”

For our CEO and co-founder Andrew Dreskin, “This one is very special. It was 20 years ago that I saw my first show at the Boulder Theater, and my buddy Mike Luba [owner of Madison House Presents] took me to the Fox and introduced me to Don [Strasburg]. These are two of the best venues not only in Colorado, but the USA. We are fired up to welcome them to the Ticketfly family. ”

Our partnership with Z2 adds the Rockies to the list of regions where Ticketfly now has a strong presence: the south/southeast, the east coast, the west coast, and the midwest. We’re now also the undisputed partner of choice for independent venues & promoters in Denver, Chicago, Philly, LA, Washington D.C., Dallas, Phoenix/Tucson, and many more major metros.

In addition to our innovative technology platform and quality service, many of our new partners—including Z2—have cited our connection with Pandora as an incentive to join us.

“We believe Pandora will continue to evolve opportunities for engagement among the promoter, the venue, and the fan,” Ligouri says.

We couldn’t agree more. Together with Pandora, we’re connecting venues and promoters with America’s largest and most engaged music audience. And this is only the beginning—want to learn more? Get in touch.
