Richmond, Virginia is one of those southern cities where one can ‘feel’ the history.. It’s everywhere you look.. There is Monument Avenue, with statues of the heroes -- from a Civil War that is still described by some old timers, as ‘the recent unpleasantness.’ There is the statue to the great African-American tap-dancer and performer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson.

When we last saw singer/songwriter Zack Borer, he was unsigned and itching to get his bandmates in the studio. 6 months later, Zack's had a song featured on the Google's Nexus One smartphone, been even been featured in a compilation video of 101 Bad Romance covers.

The Grateful Web was fortunate enough to have a chance to speak to Ian Anderson, singer and songwriter for the legendary band, Jethro Tull. We're incredibly flattered Ian spent some of his time with us as he prepares for a summer tour on the east coast of the United States.

Over the past two weeks, Sam Williams brought his energy across town and played with countless talented musicians from around the world. Sam played at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with Allen Toussaint, the Funky Nation, and as part of the ephemeral all-star brass ensemble, The Midnight Disturbers featuring Stanton Moore, Mark Mullins, Skerik, Ben Ellman and more.
