Alberta Cross have announced their highly-anticipated new album, The Rolling Thunder EP, will be released on September 27th via ATO Records. The EP was recorded at world famous studios Electric Ladyland in New York City and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. It was inspired by time spent across the globe - from a cottage in Wales to the haunting seclusion of the North Carolina woods.

Rene Lopez (pronounced Ren-ey) is a striking Spanish hipster born in the heart of Bronx, New York creating a fusion of sound he calls “electric Latin soul.” His newest solo album, aptly titled ELS, is being released on Nat Geo Records alongside the recently signed festival favorites Toubab Krewe. Lopez seems to be gaining a similar, jam-rock oriented fan base, and it’s clear from his album why, though his work with John Butler Trio’s Money Mark and ‘90’s jam band Wasabi doesn’t hurt.

Performances run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through October 1.  Curtain time is at 7:30 PM.

Dark Star Orchestra has announced a pair of year closing shows at Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theatre on December 30 and 31. The group’s Cosmic New Year’s Eve Celebration will feature three sets a night: on December 30, the group will kick off its three-set show with a special, rare acoustic set and on December 31 the group will recreate classic sets from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. VIP Tickets for the December 31 performance include an exclusive poster, access to VIP section with private bar and an express line into venue.

As you might have heard, Phish will play a special show at Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, VT next Wednesday, September 14. The concert will benefit Vermont flood recovery efforts as proceeds from the concert and merchandise sales will be directed to The WaterWheel Foundation and The Vermont Community Foundation to aid in the recovery of the Green Mountain State.

Jam-grass pioneers Leftover Salmon are spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Denver and treating fans with 2 shows. After the pumpkin pie has been carved, founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman will take the stage with Greg Garrison (bass), Bill McKay (keys), Jose Martinez (drums) and new addition Andy Thorn (banjo).
