Off the heels of announcing a comprehensive fall tour, Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) will return to Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY, for their second-ever headlining New Year’s Eve run. Last year’s inaugural holiday affair sold out two nights at the upstate New York venue.

Grammy-and Oscar-winner T Bone Burnett unveils additional tour dates for his first U.S. concert tour since 2006. The tour kicks off on September 6 at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley and includes sold-out shows in Berkeley, Chicago and Vienna, VA. The first leg also features stops in Portland, Seattle, Austin and more.

Craft Recordings and Violent Femmes are commemorating 40 years of the band’s sophomore title, Hallowed Ground, with a wide vinyl reissue. Once an overlooked gem, the album has become a cornerstone of Violent Femmes’ catalog and live performances, and a pioneering work in the post-punk and alt-country genres.

As the Phish summer tour rolls on, the jams continue to heat up. Their first night at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on August 9, 2024, was no exception, as the band honored the legendary venue adjacent to the grounds of the original Woodstock Festival with a raging show. The venue was quite soggy for most of the performance, as the remnants of a former hurricane had passed through Bethel, NY, earlier in the afternoon.

Today, multi-instrumentalist Nate Mercereau, who is currently on André 3000’s New Blue Sun tour, announced his new album Excellent Traveler, out October 11 on Third Man Records. The imaginative record is composed of a vast array of sounds recorded by Mercereau during his travels, day-to-day life, and studio sessions with artists like André 3000, Shabaka Hutchings, Kamasi Washington, Carlos Niño, and more.
