Dark Shadow Recording has officially welcomed The Sullivan Sisters to its family of artists, a move that feels like a natural next step for one of bluegrass music’s most exciting young bands. The announcement comes as the group makes its debut as an official Showcase Artist at this year’s IBMA World of Bluegrass in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Today, GRAMMY-winning guitarist Tommy Emmanuel released the official video for “Black and White to Color,” the newest single off his upcoming album Living In The Light (out October 10).

On November 7, Strolling Bones Records will release Seven Levels, the final studio album from Southern rock legend and Cowboy co-founder Tommy Talton. Recorded in April 2022 at Macon’s legendary Capricorn Sound Studios — the same room where Cowboy and the Allman Brothers once tracked their defining works — the album stands as Talton’s parting gift: seven songs steeped in friendship, resilience, and the timeless sound of the Southern rock family tree.

Singer-songwriter and guitarist Mike Mizwinski — better known simply as Miz — returns September 19 with his latest album, Sometimes By Surprise. Produced by bassist Ted Pecchio (Susan Tedeschi) and recorded with a powerhouse studio band including Laur Joamets and Robbie Crowell (Sturgill Simpson), and Jano Rix (The Wood Brothers), the record captures the grit, heart, and resilience of a musician who has spent the past 15 years on the road.

Girls Just Wanna Weekend will return for its 7th annual celebration in January with The Chicks and Sam Smith joining Brandi Carlile as headliners.

Chris Stapleton will extend his acclaimed All-American Road Show into 2026 with two-night stands in Las Vegas, NV; Thackerville, OK; and Uncasville, CT. These six new “Evening with Chris Stapleton” shows will feature Stapleton and his full band with no opener.

There are plenty of music festivals out there, but there’s only one Boogiedown. The 5th annual fest took place September 11–13 at Driftless Music Gardens, and this year might have been the best one yet. The whole weekend had that special mix of music, friendship, and shenanigans that only happens when Armchair Boogie is in the gardens.
