Kansas, one of the most successful American rock bands to come out of the 1970's, brought their progressive rock jam sounds to the opulent Thousand Oaks Civic Center, Wednesday, September, 13th. The marathon performance featured no less than 24 songs in a nonstop show that stretched nearly three hours into the late summer evening.
Four young Nashville based musicians brought their new band, Nightly to an excited crowd of mostly college-age music fans, at Velvet Jones nightclub last week. The group was formed by cousins Jonathan Capeci and Joey Beretta originally from Philadelphia. The pair had early success in a former band “Dinner And A Suit.” The two cousins eventually regrouped and enlisted Stephen Cunsolo and Nicholas Sainato to form Nightly.

Nancy Wilson, one of the founding members of the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group Heart, has teamed up with former Prince’s New Power Generation band member and R&B singer Liv Warfield to form the soulful, rock super group, Roadcase Royale. The band will release their debut album, First Things First, this Friday, September 22, 2017. The album was produced by fellow Roadcase Royale band member Dan Rothchild (Heart) along with the band.

The Bluegrass scene has been exploding over the past few years, and since the Bill Monroe days, south-central PA has been at the heart of it. In the middle of this hotspot of up and coming bluegrass bands, is Mountain Ride, an original bluegrass band that seamlessly comingles both traditional and progressive bluegrass styles. Lead singer and songwriter Eric Avey has assembled an amazingly talented group of musicians to go along with some very well written original lyrics.
