Brooklyn Funk Essentials are on a roll as they release their feelgood, rollerskating jam ‘Rollin’ (Love Will Be Here)’ today on Dorado Records.

‘Rollin’ (Love Will Be Here)’ is the 4th single from ‘Intuition’, Brooklyn Funk Essentials' seventh album of stellar, master-crafted R&B, discofunk, poly-riddims and pop-laced hooks, which will drop on 5th May, ahead of two UK shows at Jazz Café London May 10th and Blues Kitchen Manchester May 11th.

Micah Edwards, ubiquitously known as "Mr. Texas Soul", is bringing his retro-pop-soul soundscape to SXSW with an artist showcase at Cooper's BBQ on March 15th from 9:20 PM - 10:10 PM. Previously known as The In Crowd, Tomorrow (Keith West, Steve Howe and John ‘Twink’ Alder) came to fame in the 1967 film Smashing Time. During that year the band released two singles, one of which, “My White Bicycle” was inspired by the Dutch Provos, an anarchist group in Amsterdam which instituted a community bicycle program. The follow-up single “Revolution”, according to Joe Boyd’s book “White Bicycles – Making Music” in the 1960s asserted the fact that the band’s performance of the song at the UFO Club was the apotheosis of the 60s UK underground.

The title of each song evokes a physical place that inspired its composition.
