The 2024 Great Blue Heron Music Festival dances into its fourth decade of music and community at The Heron Farm & Event Center over Independence Day weekend: Friday, July 5, through Sunday, July 7. Over 30 bands will perform on three stages, including Donna the Buffalo, Sam Bush, Rubblebucket, Couch, The Town Pants, Jimkata, and Driftwood.

Weekend activities include instrument and dance workshops, food and craft vendors, swimming on a lifeguarded beach, biking, hiking, and daily activities for kids, teens, and seniors.

Krista Lynn Meadow is a rare breed of country music artist—a performer who can interpret a moving ballad that would bring a listener to tears and then quickly pivot to an uptempo romp that risks burning down the barn. A native of Murfreesboro, TN (just outside of Nashville), Krista is a performer at heart who started gigging around Nashville at the age of 18. She began touring regionally at the start of 2020, and barring the COVID-19 shutdown, has been touring across most of the United States ever since.

Acclaimed folk and bluegrass artist J.M. Clifford is set to release his highly anticipated new album, "Trains, Thinkin’ and Drinkin’," on June 7th through Brooklyn Basement Records. Americana artist David Starr announces the release of his latest album, Starr & Stucky, featuring prolific mandolin player Erik Stucky. The dynamic duo has been honing their live show for the better part of seven years, with audiences begging for a stripped-down album just the two of them, which fans will now receive June 14. Youth on Record's 10th Annual Block Party and Community Celebration will bring together hundreds of community members on June 8th for a day-long youth music festival. Youth on Record’s Block Party is a youth-led and youth-designed event with support from Youth on Record (YOR) Staff. The event will take place from 2pm-7pm at the Youth on Record Studio (1301 W 10th Ave) and neighboring streets. Performances will feature a talented lineup of over 20+ YOR students ages 14-24!
