About The Dead South

Bearing witness to the accelerating negativity of global affairs, British reggae powerhouse Steel Pulse continues their musical mission to halt the disarray of humanity. As they celebrate 50 years since forming in Birmingham, England, the band’s twelfth studio album, Mass Manipulation, reflects their ongoing commitment to bettering mankind through music. Themes of social justice and human rights, as potent today as they were at the band’s inception, lie at the heart of Steel Pulse’s songs and lyrics.

Today, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton confirms the “Let’s Do It Again!” tour. Kicking off in late March, the tour includes stops at Chicago’s Chicago Theatre, Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater, Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre, and more.

“I am so thrilled to be able to come out and play again for you. It’s been a spectacular year, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone soon,” says Frampton.

How do we define a music festival? AI tells me it is simply a gathering of people to enjoy live music. When just over a week had six live music events, I’d call that a festival, as the bands gathered to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Chicago Street Pub, an Irish-style pub. They were glad to be there for their friends, Michael and Kathy Trizna, owners and masterminds of the madness.

With over 100 combined years of touring, Little Feat and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band have each performed their music to audiences across the world. The special five-date run of shows, set for the western United States, will begin June 21, 2025, in Airway Heights, Washington, and wrap June 26, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
