Consider the Source announced a livestream concert to happen Friday, November 13th at 9pm marking the 10 year anniversary of the release of "That's What's Up". This is the last studio album the band recorded with original drummer Justin Ahiyon before recruiting now long-time member Jeff Mann and will be performing much of the material for the first time since. The full-album performance will be available on CTS's Facebook and Youtube pages and the band is asking for a $10 suggested ticket donation.

While singer-songwriter Miko Marks is far from a newcomer to the music industry, her upcoming album, Our Country, will be her first release in 13 years. Set to release in March 2021, Our Country is the culmination of a dream - an actual, literal dream. A songwriter by trade, Marks’ own project has largely taken a backseat  over the past decade, as early success and heartbreak in her career made her somewhat disillusioned with the  music industry at large.

Twang meets psychedelic groove when Billy Strings comes to town. The 28-year-old bluegrass star performed for an empty Ryman Auditorium on October 25th while fans watched through a livestream platform. Strings powerful stage presence allowed his virtual audience to feel like they were front row at the famous Nashville venue and fully immersed in the sound of live music.

Steve Earle, Bobbie Gentry, Kent Blazy, Brett James and Spooner Oldham have been elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, according to an announcement made today by Sarah Cates, chair of the organization’s board of directors.

Trailblazing Bluegrass singer Dale Ann Bradley is back with her brand new single, “Falling Down.” Written by Ashby Frank, the song serves as the lead single from the reigning IBMA “Entertainer of the Year” (alongside Sister Sadie) winner’s forthcoming album Things She Couldn’t Get Over, which is set for release in early 2021. 25th October 2020 saw the 52nd anniversary of the Jethro Tull album, This Was. In November 1968, the debut album hit #10 in the British charts, partly thanks to great airplay from BBC Radio DJ John Peel. Just before the release in the U.S., guitarist Abrahams left to form “Blodwyn Pig,” primarily due to Anderson’s preference for a less blues-orientated future.
