Cloud 9 Adventures announces the annual return of Strings & Sol, the bluegrass-centric tropical destination concert vacation, held at the all-inclusive Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa. Now venturing into its sixth year, the event will take place on the beautiful coastline in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico from December 8-12, 2017. Purple Hat Productions has announced additional artists for the first ever Suwannee Summer Clusterpluck taking place June 23 & 24, 2017 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Joining the line-up are multi-instrumentalists Vince Herman and Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon, famed banjoist Rev. Jeff Mosier, and Georgia’s Pickled Holler.

Summer will start a little early this year with the Easy Star All-Stars kicking off their West Coast Tour 2017 at the legendary Monterey Fairgrounds, as the band’s first ever appearance at the California Roots Music and Arts Festival marks the first show on a 16-stop outing. After previously announcing headliners Herbie Hancock, Kamasi Washington, Trixie Whitley, Wayne Shorter, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Norah Jones, Gent Jazz Festival released the final names for its sixteenth edition today. The first day of the festival on 6 July is a day of celebration thanks to the arrival of the icon of pop herself and diva par excellence, Grace Jones. GoGo Penguin, Miles Mosley, Kadhja Bonet, and United Vibrations have also confirmed their attendance for the same day.
