The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame will explore the founding of America’s most influential Jazz label with “The All Seeing Eye: Blue Note Records Through the Lens of Francis Wolff.” Curated by the Museum Collective with Blue Note Records, the exhibit will feature some of the 20,000 photographs from Blue Note co-founder Francis Wolff. It will open to the public on May 1, 2024, inside the Boch Center Wang Theatre. Tours are available now at FARHOF.org.

The Newport Jazz Festival just announced that tickets will go on sale and the lineup will drop for the 2024 festival (August 2-4) on April 9th at 1PM Eastern, which has this East Coast mama reminiscing of all my favorite moments from last year! After having finally experienced the longest-running jazz festival in the country last year, it quickly made its way to the top of my ever-expanding list of favorite summer fests.

Eggy made their seventh appearance at the Brooklyn Bowl, on March 23, 2024, quite memorable with a set of covers and guests in honor of the Jewish holiday Purim. Fans were encouraged to dress in costume, and the band dressed in decade-wear. They also sold out the New York, NY venue well before the date of the show. Uncle Jesse provided support with pre-show dance music.

Spafford's Spring Tour continued through Leesburg, VA this week with a rocking performance at the Tally Ho Theater. The jamming juggernauts flexed their musical muscles once again with incredible 'type 2' improvisational pieces including originals "Night After Night," and combo of "It's a Bunch" into the jazzy classic "Lonely."

The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts, in association with the American Tap Dance Foundation, is thrilled to announce a monumental celebration in honor of the 125th birthday of the legendary jazz composer and bandleader, Duke Ellington.
