In its 26th year, Old Settler’s Music Festival is putting together one of its hottest lineups ever, but fans must act now to grab discounted ticket packages before they end on midnight Jan. 15. Single-day ticket sales begin Jan. 16 for the four-day bluegrass, roots and Americana festival, which takes place April 18-21 at the Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch south of Austin and features more than 30 acts.

Tour dates have been announced for acclaimed singer/songwriter Matt Costa in support of his upcoming self-titled album to be released on February 12 via Brushfire Records. Matt Costa was recorded in Scotland and produced by long-time Belle & Sebastian/Mogwai collaborator Tony Doogan at his Castle of Doom studio.

Coming to a dance floor near you, an infectious new track by the electro-rock duo BoomBox, who is set to release their new album in the upcoming year. BoomBox is made up of producer/DJ Russ Randolph and singer/songwriter/guitarist Zion Godchaux, who have established themselves as one of the premier late-night acts in the festival circuit.

Rosco Bandana are taking their talents to the NBA and performing the National Anthem before the Dallas Mavericks take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, January 14th.  The band, fresh off the release of their Mississippi State Song hopeful “Feels Like Mississippi”, will then head down the street to Hard Rock Cafe Dallas for a free special post-game concert starting directly after the Mavs game.-- National Anthem:American Airli

Tickets for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds forthcoming tours of Australia & North America are nearly sold-out. The band will be commencing their Australian run at the iconic Sydney Opera House where tickets for all three shows sold out in under an hour. Meanwhile in the USA, the band has just added a third night at New York's Beacon Theatre.

Krishna Das' album, LIVE ANANDA, has been nominated for a Grammy for Best New Age Album of 2012. This live recording was originally released digitally in January of 2012 and is now being physically released for the first time.

Celebrating its fifth year as Nashville’s most heated and entertaining band competition, the Road to Bonnaroo contest, co-sponsored by BMI, Mercy Lounge, Yuengling, Nashville Scene, and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, will pit 24 bands with Nashville ties head-to-head for three coveted slots at the 2013 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, slated for June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee. The Road to Bonnaroo will take place over three designated nights of BMI’s free 8 off 8th showcase, with eight bands performing each night.

The Mickey Hart Band announces their first tour of 2013 with special guests, The African Showboyz from Ghana. The African Showboyz are four brothers from the northern part of Ghana who fuse a unique blend of West African rhythm, dance, and raw energy. Originally discovered by Grammy-winning virtuoso, Babatunde Olatunji, the African Showboyz have shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Fela Kuti, Fema Kuti, Arrested Development, and many others.

Donna the Buffalo will be touring throughout the East this Winter and into the Spring. This February marks their appearance at the 2nd annual Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival in Miami (the 4th in a family of GrassRoots Festivals hosted by Donna the Buffalo).
