Award-winning fiddler, Jason Carter, has announced he is departing the Del McCoury Band and the Travelin' McCourys after three decades of sharing some of the biggest stages in bluegrass music.
"It has been the honor of a lifetime to spend the last 33 years making music with The Del McCoury Band," shares Jason. "After a considerable amount of thought, I’ve decided to say my farewell to Del and the Travelin’ McCourys in order to pursue my solo career as The Jason Carter Band.
Today, Omnivore Recordings announced The Exciting Sounds of Buck Owens And His Buckaroos Live From Richmond, Virgina, 1964 will be released on March 28, pressed on strawberry jam-colored vinyl. It serves as the earliest known full concert recording of Buck and his Buckaroos, mastered from the original tape by Grammy®-winning engineer Michael Graves and including extensive liner notes from co-producer Scott B. Bomar.

In the 60-second spot, Matthew McConaughey humorously explores a conspiracy theory that football was invented to sell food, with "Green Onions" providing a timeless and unmistakable groove that tied the ad’s humor and nostalgia together. The ad also features Martha Stewart, Charli XCX, Kevin Bacon, and Greta Gerwig, among others.

Today, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals announced a 15-date summer tour. The tour will kick off on May 30th at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington DC with stops at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, Higher Ground Ballroom in Burlington, VT, Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, The Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, WI, and the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, among other cities. The tour will conclude on August 24th at The Orpheum in Los Angeles.
