Christmas with The Smithereens is more than a Christmas- time cover album. This quartet does an impressive job of channeling the spirt of 1960s rock, and solidly interpreting each memorable tune. The band’s originals add a nice twist to the disc and are written with such ‘60s-savviness that without prior knowledge it would almost be difficult to decide which songs were covers and which were originals.

Combining Togolese festive and ritual rhythms, hypnotic voodoo melodies and provocative lyrics that speak to a new generation of young Africans, Togolese artist DOGO du Togo has managed to embody the heart and soul of modern Togo with his debut self-titled album DOGO du Togo (to be released Oct. 28, 2022).

Portland-based troubadour Tobias Berblinger presents the vinyl reissue of his 2018 album The Luckiest Hippie Alive, releasing on October 6th, 2022 via Ten Dollar Recording Co.. Berblinger will play a release show that same day, at the Laurelthirst Public House in Portland. The vinyl is on sale through the label's website and Bandcamp.

Crugie Riccio, of the ‘90s Hoboken, NJ power trio (later quartet) Cycomotogoat, and Bobby Lurie (AKA Blurry), a veteran drummer who’s played with jazz greats Buddy Collette and Dewey Redman, have formed the songwriting and recording duo Super User Friendly. They have released their debut double LP Señor Gato on Sniff These Records.
