Jarrod Dickenson

After a major label deal-gone-bad threatened to choke off his career, Covid complications left him with a life-long medical condition, and the Trump era sought to eviscerate the notion that America might still be that shining city on a hill, honey-voiced Texan songwriter Jarrod Dickenson would have certainly been forgiven for retreating to his Nashville home to lick his wounds and maybe write a collection of introspective self-pity anthems.

If Jarrod Dickenson’s third studio album, BIG TALK sounds like a mighty roar of defiance, that’s not a design choice or a marketing decision. The big Texan is settling scores all over town and he means every f*cking word.

Known for his soulful vocals and ability to blend a variety of instruments and influences into one signature sound, Jarrod Dickenson’s songs are both compelling and catchy. Today, Dickenson is proud to share his anticipated new album Ready The Horses, released via Hooked Records. Self-produced in a studio on the southeast coast of England, Ready The Horses was recorded live, straight to 2” tape.

Storytelling is something of a Texas tradition. Tall hats and even taller tales are woven into the fabric of The Lone Star State, and Waco native, now Nashville-based songwriter Jarrod Dickenson, can spin a yarn with the best of them. Known for his soulful vocals and ability to blend a variety of instruments and influences into one signature sound, Dickenson returns on May 22 with the release of his new album Ready The Horses.
