The Vermont Jazz Center is thrilled to present harpist Brandee Younger on January 18, 2025. She will perform with her working trio: Rashaan Carter on electric and acoustic basses and Allan Mednard on drums. Many VJC aficionados were moved by Younger’s appearance with Makaya McCraven’s ensemble last February. Since then, she has been on the move, releasing a solo harp EP and touring across London, Germany, Brooklyn, the Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, Brussels, and beyond.

Jersey City is getting its own Latin Jazz Festival! Riverview Jazz, the JC-based non-profit that produces the Jersey City Jazz Festival and many other community programs, has partnered with Exchange Place Alliance to present a one-day celebration at Exchange Place Plaza, where Montgomery Street meets the Hudson River. The Festival will be held on Saturday, September 14th, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with an opening party on Friday night, September 13th. The Festival will feature two stages, food trucks, Salsa dance lessons, children’s programming, and much more.

Internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and vocalist Daniela Schächter and her ensemble will perform an electrifying set at Berk Hall, Boston, blending original compositions with contemporary interpretations of jazz standards. Schächter’s piano mastery often ventures beyond traditional forms, while her vocal stylings range from the soulful lyricism of Shirley Horn to the ethereal tones of wordless vocalese, mimicking the fluidity of a flute.

The Pacific Ballet Dance Theater (PBDT) is thrilled to announce its latest project, World Cinematic Jazz and Dance—a breathtaking fusion of ballet, world music, jazz, and cinematic elements. This extraordinary event features a unique collaboration with 9-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist and Santana bassist Benny Rietveld and Santana vocalist Andy Vargas. The premiere, featuring a 15-piece performance, promises to captivate and inspire audiences.
