Today, Danny released the video for the EP’s single “Cigarettes and Sunburn” — “the song is about love cut short by time and circumstance,” says Golden. “It’s about the promise of new love and the mystery of what could have been.

Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Paula Cole shares her new song “Black Mountain Blues.” Recorded by Bessie Smith and covered by Janis Joplin, Cole’s version of the song is the second single from her upcoming album American Quilt. “It’s strong like black coffee and it’s warrior-esque”, says Cole. American Quilt will be released on May 21st through Renew Records / BMG.

Today, Blue Note Records announced There Is No End, a posthumous album from the legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen, who died last year at the age of 79. Featuring guest rappers and singers including Sampa The Great, Danny Brown, Lava La Rue, and more, the new full-length will be released on April 30, 2021, the one year anniversary of Allen’s death. The preorder launches today along with the first single “Cosmosis (ft. Skepta & Ben Okiri).”
