Fast rising Minneapolis band Nooky Jones is back with a new EP, Like Candy, slated for release on Friday, September 27, 2019. Like Candy represents the evolution in songwriting, arranging, recording, and producing in the two years since the release of Nooky Jones’ self-titled debut album.

In past concerts that have been described by the New York Times as being “soulful,” “evocative,” and “playing directly to the band’s strengths,” the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis performed original compositions inspired by masters of modern art including Romare Bearden, Stuart Davis, Sam Gilliam, Winslow Homer, Wifredo Lam, Norman Lewis and Piet Mondrian. On August 2, 2019,Blue Engine Records will release the studio recordings of these charts on a new album entitled Jazz and Art.

Freekbass, hailed by the legendary Bootsy Collins as “the new spiritual warrior for the funk,” has served up his new album All The Way This. All The Way That. on the exciting new Color Red imprint out now. He is taking the new album on tour kicking off with the opening performance at the Cincinnati Reds’ game on August 5th.
