Long established as one of New Zealand’s finest acts, South Pacific reggae-soul legends The Black Seeds return in 2017 with their long awaited 6th studio album and first single “Better Days,” out May 19th. It will be released in North America in partnership with tastemaker indie label Easy Star Records, who has handled the entire catalog of The Black Seeds in this part of the world since 2010.

When legendary hip hop personality Fab Five Freddy introduced the members of Brownout at the 2017 Austin Music Awards, it seemed fitting that a legend of that stature would be tasked to pass the floor to a band of musicians who already have earned the respect of Prince (RIP), GZA (Wu-Tang Clan), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), Bernie Worrel (RIP), and Ozzy Osbourne. The eighth annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival will take place at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center from May 26-28, 2017. Summer will start a little early this year with the Easy Star All-Stars kicking off their West Coast Tour 2017 at the legendary Monterey Fairgrounds, as the band’s first ever appearance at the California Roots Music and Arts Festival marks the first show on a 16-stop outing. The tour will run through late June as the band returns to reggae-friendly cities across the West Coast and Mountains. Supporting acts include The Late Ones and The Elovators.
 

Well known around Texas for his contributions with the award-winning group The Effinays and funk-disco up-and-comer Ronnie Heart, multi-talented instrumentalist, composer, and producer Valenti Funk is determined to introduce his unparalleled brand of funk-fusion to the masses.
