The pioneer progessive/fusion jazz guitarist Mike Stern brought his quartet of equally impressive jazz alumni for three sets over two nights in Oakland last week. His band was comprised of Dennis Chambers (drums), Randy Brecker (trumpet), and Tom Kennedy (electric bass).
