Sunday Vibes is locals day. This meant Bridgeport residents got a substantial discount and were encouraged to show up and support the festival. Acts today include legendary Jam Band Max Creek celebrating their 40+ years together (another founding Vibes band), British Reggae Band Steel Pulse, and popular Indie Rock outfit The Avett Brothers. Day four of the festival was no let down!
Saturday's Vibes lineup was a mixed group of artists ranging from Dweezil Zappa's "Zappa Plays Zappa" project kicking things off. They never fail to interpret Frank Zappa's extremely complex and involved brand of musicality with sincere adherence to authenticity and nuance. Mickey Hart Band got the afternoon going with new vocalists that fit the project well. Headliners Primus and Sound Tribe Sector Nine are undeniably the strongest headliners as far as high energy goes. Killer day, good times.
