Brian Douglas Wilson, the groundbreaking songwriter, producer, and visionary behind the Beach Boys, passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 82. Wilson was born on June 20, 1942, in Inglewood, California, and raised in the sunny suburb of Hawthorne, where he formed the iconic band along with his brothers Carl and Dennis, cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. From humble beginnings rehearsing harmonies at home, the group would soon become synonymous with California’s sun-kissed beaches, youthful exuberance, and intricate, revolutionary soundscapes.

Grammy-winning Infamous Stringdusters bandmates Andy Falco (guitar) and Travis Book (upright bass) step out as a duo this fall to honor the timeless music of Jerry Garcia. “The project actually originated backstage at ’Dusters shows where Travis and I would typically warm up with some fun Jerry songs,” Falco recalls. “At some point we just thought it would be fun to do it in public.”

Oteil Burbridge will hit the road this autumn with the Oteil & Friends Fall Tour 2025, a seven-date run that travels down the East Coast from Maine to Florida. Joining Burbridge are Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Tom Guarna, John Kimock and Lamar Williams Jr., forming the full Oteil & Friends ensemble for this outing.

Boulder Theater will be awash in vintage Hammond tones and cosmic grooves this Halloween weekend when Melvin Seals & JGB headline back-to-back nights on Friday, October 31, 2025, and Saturday, November 1, 2025. Downtown Boulder will pulse with future-funk energy on Saturday, July 5 when Denver’s own The Motet turn the Boulder Theater into the official Pholsom Field After-Party. Previously teased as “A Tribute to Jamiroquai featuring ?????,” the show now stands revealed as The Motet’s first single-artist homage in twelve years.
